This Little Dog Has Terminal Cancer, So Her Guardians Are Taking Her to as Many Beaches as Possible (PHOTOS)

A recent vet visit brought terrible news for Abby, a senior Chihuahua/Pug mix, and her loving guardians. The dog was diagnosed with aggressive lung cancer and was given two to three months to live. But her guardians and founders of Pinky Paws ResQ, Krystle Woodward and her husband Allen, did not give in to despair. Rather, they decided to do everything they could to make Abby’s remaining days as great as possible. With this, they started Abby’s cancer bucket list!

Abby was surrendered at a PetSmart back in 2010. The trauma of being abandoned made it hard for her to adjust to her new life with her rescuers, but before her diagnosis, she had started to be more and more loving and attached …

Krystle and Allen Woodward want to give Abby the best experiences life has to offer – so every weekend, they take her to a new beach! 

So far, the little explorer has been to Pismo, Morro Bay, Pacific Grove, Seaside, Marina, Monterey, Capitola, Soquel, and Santa Cruz.

Now the team is planning to visit Cambria and Tahoe.

Abby is surely being treated to the good life – she’s gotten quite good at helping order tacos on the way home from the beach.

As her guardians share, Abby is on two pain medications and likes taking long naps in-between exploring.

Abby is really lucky to have people who care for her so immensely and are determined to do all they can to make her life easier and more fun in this challenging time. Thanks to their dedication, this little pup’s tail is still wagging!
