In case you needed further proof that the future of food is plant-based … here it is! Green Giant Fresh, a New Jersey-based company that offers frozen and canned produce, recently debuted SIX vegan meal bowls. The meal bowls are all made with fresh vegetables and include a sauce or seasoning packet. The microwaveable meals will provide time-crunched consumers with a healthy, sustainable meal option.
The bowls come in six flavors: Burrito Bowl, Teriyaki Fried Rice Bowl, Pad Thai Bowl, Rancheros Bowl, Buddha Bowl, and a Ramen Bowl. Two of the bowls, the Burrito Bowl and the Teriyaki Fried Rice Bowl, are available now in select U.S. locations, with the rest scheduled to roll out by late spring.

Green Giant Fresh’s new meal bowls were likely created in response to the ever-growing demand for plant-based options (the overall demand for plant-based foods is up 140 percent!).
“We know consumers are on the go and looking for healthy and nutritious foods, swaps and meal alternatives. Our meal bowls line was developed in response to this demand, then refined and perfected with our premium vegetable products, along with other desirable flavors that give each bowl its distinctive personality,” said Jamie Strachan, CEO of Green Giant Fresh.
These six new meal bowls won’t be the last healthy options coming from Green Giant Fresh; Strachan said the company plans to further expand the line to introduce new mixes, blends, and meal-ready products.
We’re thrilled that Green Giant Fresh’s new line will allow countless people access to healthy, convenient food! For more information on Green Giant Fresh, click here to visit their website.
