It sounds like a science fiction novel, but it’s very real and bleak. The melting of the polar ice caps is sending melted water in large quantities toward the equator — and this shift in mass is making Earth spin faster, changing the way we tell time.

2. Help Stop the Climate Crisis, Help Protect Koalas from Logging, Help Hold Marineland’s Leadership Accountable for Animal Cruelty, and More!

Ex-employees of a company that has been logging on Kangaroo Island in Australia have come forward with gut-wrenching allegations. They described utter carnage left in the wake of Australian Agribusiness Group — over 40 injured koalas and 20 dead as a result of negligent, cruel operations.

The whistleblowers say that their former employer completely disregarded instructions to leave certain trees alone since koalas had been found living in them. Instead, workers apparently went on a rampage resulting in “broken skulls, jaws, arms and hips” of dozens of innocent koalas.

3. Help Save Pygmy Rabbits from Climate change

The tiniest bunnies in the world, the pygmy rabbits, make their home in North America, where they burrow underground to make tiny little hobbit holes for themselves to live in. They need shrub-covered sagebrush habitats to survive and to continue spreading delight to the world.

But their sagebrush habitats are disappearing. And now, the pygmy rabbit is officially listed as an Endangered Species due to their near-extinction status.

4. Urge Major Retailers and Delivery Companies to Go Green

We are all familiar with the images of confused polar bears trapped on rapidly thinning patches of ice in the Arctic as Climate change decimates their home habitats.

Now, we’re learning that even polar bears in Canada are at risk of starving to death – because as Global warming melts the ice in their homes, they can no longer access their main food sources.

Please sign this petition to demand that major retailers and delivery companies go green to help us fight Climate change!

5. Help Hold Marineland’s Leadership Accountable for Animal Cruelty

Marineland is an infamous park in Ontario, Canada, known for allowing its captive animals to suffer. For example, one killer whale there named Kiska has become known as “the world’s loneliest orca” due to her severe isolation and obvious signs of psychological distress.

Now Ontario’s government is holding the park accountable for breaking animal cruelty laws in its mistreatment of three black bears. Experts say it’s very likely the park will be shut down soon, meaning the animals will be rehomed somewhere reputable.

This is great news for all animals trapped in the nightmare that is Marineland. But the people who ran this facility and allowed animals to experience extreme suffering must also be held accountable.

6. Help Shut Down Horrendous Factory Farm in the UK

A factory farm in Devon, UK is being described as the site of “unimaginable suffering” after undercover documentary footage revealed cannibalism, malnourishment, open bloody wounds, sickness, and other forms of horrific mistreatment. At one point in the video, a pig dies while screaming after her pen-mates begin stomping on her, trampling her underfoot, and then biting her.

Documentarians with Glass Wall Films returned over several days, noticing that the corpses of dead pigs were still present in the enclosures days later – though by that point, they were partially eaten and decomposed.
