The latest cruelty case out of Northglenn, Colorado is almost impossible to process. Authorities responding to a tip allegedly found an overpowering stench outside the home, with ammonia levels four times higher than what is considered toxic for pets. Inside, more than 100 neglected animals were discovered in filthy, dangerous conditions. An 8-week-old kitten was allegedly found dead in a Doritos bag in the freezer, and a small dog was also discovered deceased and wrapped in a blanket. This is a level of suffering no living being should endure. Please sign the petition now to push for real accountability.
Surviving animals — 96 cats and 19 dogs — are now in shelter care, beginning the long road back to safety and stability. Authorities have filed over 100 counts of animal cruelty, but that alone won’t prevent this from happening again. Northglenn must require mental-health counseling for the accused and implement a lifetime ban on animal ownership. Sign the petition now to demand stronger protection for animals.
