If you’re a fan of Morrissey, then you’re well aware of the fact that he is a huge animal advocate and boldly promotes eating plant-based. In fact, Morrissey is taking his commitment to leaving meat off the menu to the next level by ensuring that none will be served at his upcoming gig at the Hollywood Bowl!
All of the vendors at the iconic venue unanimously agreed to serve all-vegetarian menus at his request. The vendors plan to serve up delicious menu items such as veggie sandwiches, potato tacos, and falafel burgers. This is an exciting event for Morrisey fans, animal lovers, and vegetarians alike! There is also a vegetarian option for the box-seat crowd that will include a Morrocan feast for two featuring hummus, spiced carrot salad, labneh, grilled vegetables, and olive oil cake. Sounds delicious!
Morrissey famously had Madison Square Garden go all vegan for one of his shows back in 2015 (although a few box seats still served meat) and has campaigned to make other venues such as the Staples Center abstain from serving meat in the past. While the rockstar hasn’t always been successful in his campaign, due to vendor and consumer pushback, he has remained steadfast in his mission to bring much-needed awareness to issues facing animals and the benefits of a plant-based diet.
Given the environmental, animal, and personal health concerns associated with consuming meat and dairy, it is so great to see a celebrity like Morrissey take a stand and promote an alternative. Hey, even if concertgoers skip meat for one meal, they can have a huge positive impact – in fact, there’s even an app that can tell you how much water, land, and greenhouse gas emissions you save by going meat-free.

Can’t stand Morrissey but applaud his veganism.
