Word gets around fast – which can be a bad thing sometimes – but in some circumstances such as this one, it’s a GREAT thing! Hope for Paws recently received a call about a homeless bunny. It turns out the kind woman who made the call wasn’t sure what to do when she spotted the bunny, but her sister, all the way in Switzerland, told her to call Hope for Paws. How cool is that?!
Once the team arrived at the location, the bunny was easily located and secured. Though she was understandably nervous, she cuddled up in Loretta’s arms as if she knew her life was making a turn for the better. Loretta named the cutie Truffle and she was soon in the loving care of the Bunny World Foundation.
We are so happy that this sweet, innocent bunny ended up in the right hands all because these kind-hearted ladies knew who to call! Despite popular belief, most domesticated bunnies who are abandoned in the wild do not survive. There are far too many dangers lurking around every corner for such small, delicate critters.

My father raised rabbits in Switzerland, and not only did his neighbours steal them….they ate his cat. He discovered his cats fur and bones in their trash.
Someone stolen my rabbit when i was a kid. Left a jasper carrot record in hutch. My mum knew whom done it. Went round and battered them took the rabbit out of the oven in a pie, his bones and furr out of the bin. Went home and buried him, in back garden. thats when i learnt the world can be cruel . Poor smoky 😥
