Pam Anderson Launches Foundation for Animals!

Baywatch babe, Pamela Anderson announced at this year’s Cannes Film Festival that she will launch a new charity to benefit environmental conservation programs.

The actress has been a long-time advocate for Animal rights and welfare, known for her partnerships with PETA and other organizations.

The decision to launch her own charity is one that Anderson says has been, “20 years” in the making. The Pamela Anderson Foundation is driven by the mission to, “raise money to protect and Support the vulnerable areas of the world,” a concerted effort that will also look to aid the many species that live in these areas.

The actress posted her plans to launch The Pamela Anderson Foundation on her website, explaining that the goal of the foundation will be to bring together the issues surrounding animal, environmental, and human rights, stating, “it is all connected.”

The Pamela Anderson Foundation will debut in Cannes at a launch party thrown in collaboration with Viviane Westwood’s  “Cool Earth” charity.  Anderson’s enduring commitment to Animal rights and welfare align exactly with the foundation’s plans to challenge current political and social trends to think outside their regular scopes and to consider the connection between all living things on Earth.
