Icon. Crusader. Hero. These are some of the words used to describe Jane Goodall and the amazing work she has done for chimpanzees and the environment.

Jane Goodall’s life’s work has always been to inspire action to help and protect endangered species, like chimpanzees, and to encourage people to show compassion toward their fellow humans, animals, and nature.

She advises against thinking globally and acting locally as thinking globally may seem too overwhelming to those wanting to help. Instead, she suggests taking just one piece of what needs to be changed and doing what you can to make a difference with it. Then, if people all over the world do the same, all of the pieces can be put together to create a greater global change.

In this video from the Jane Goodall Institute, you will enjoy the highlights of Dr. Goodall’s life and her impact on people, animals, and the environment. See at a glance her renowned and groundbreaking research with the chimpanzees of Gombe and her conservation efforts around the world.

No matter how big or how small, every individual on the planet has the power to make a difference — this includes you. We all must do our part to make the world a better place for everyone and everything.
