If you know of anybody who still believes the old myth about dogs hating on mailmen (dogs don’t hate them, they just don’t like strangers stomping on their turf!), you should probably show them this polite and sociable golden retriever. Wagging his tail, he awaits the moment he can finish his morning chores of sniffing around the yard, saying hello to neighbors, and fetching the mail … literally!
Instead of barking at the deliverer (as most cartoon enthusiasts would expect), this dog greets the mailman at his human’s gate with open arms — err — paws. Not only that, but the mail carrier was even able to give the dog a hug, and the dog responds by placing his paws on his shoulders … how adorable!
The mailman is so happy to see such a friendly face that he describes meeting the dog as the “best part of my day!” After looking at that cheerful retriever face, who can blame him?
