A new Trump-era policy now allows U.S. federal employees to tell coworkers that their religion is “correct” and even attempt to convert them. This is a direct attack on personal freedom and the right to feel safe and respected in the workplace—whether someone is religious, follows a minority faith, or has no faith at all. No worker should be pressured into rethinking their beliefs just to get through the workday.
The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) claims this policy will make offices more “welcoming,” but in reality, it risks harassment and discrimination. The First Amendment exists to keep religion and government separate—yet this memo undermines that principle by promoting certain faiths and creating an unbalanced workplace.
We cannot allow federal offices to become platforms for religious coercion. Sign the petition now to demand the OPM revoke this harmful, unconstitutional policy.
