Natural disasters like earthquakes of floods have the ability to destroy the lives of every adult, child, and animal they touch. But when these disasters happen in less developed areas, the recovery effort can be a years-long struggle with no end in sight.
Haiti and suffered a catastrophic earthquake in 2010 that displaced families and destroyed lives. The damage done by the earthquake was compounded by the lack of funding and manpower behind the local crisis response teams. Luckily, the World Animal Awareness Society (WA2S) stepped in to give them all much-needed boost!
This clip shows a local animal group rescuing an adorable litter of puppies that was abandoned underneath a flight of stairs. If they hadn’t of arrived when they did, the puppies would surely have died soon afterward from dehydration.
