You can buy coconut butter in the store, but if you have a high-speed blender or food processor, try making it at home! All you need to do is blend unsweetened, shredded coconut into a liquid — that's it. Coconut butter has many uses in the kitchen, from creamy cheesecakes to raw desserts and even vegan condensed milk.
How to Make Coconut Butter [Vegan]
- 4 1/8 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
- Add the shredded coconut to a food processor or powerful blender. Blend, taking care to pause and scrape down the sides with a rubber spatula as the coconut gets stuck to it. This process will take time, but the idea is to blend the coconut until it is complete liquefied.
- Transfer to a mason jar and store in the refrigerator.
