The restaurant has dedicated half of its menu to plant-based options along with its Plant Pledge Campaign

Wagamama commissioned a survey that showed that consumers acknowledged the need for more plant-based eating but said that the biggest obstacle was a lack of choices.

Because of this demand for greater plant-based options, Wagamama announced their plans to turn 50% of their menu plant-based in October.

Their Plant Pledge will ask customers to pledge to eat at least one plant-based meal a month. Those who sign the pledge will get a free vegan side dish with their order!

Wagamama CEO Thomas Heier said, “At Wagamama, we’re making choices big and small at a business level to tread more lightly on the planet. Now, it’s time we use our platform to ask guests to join that journey with us.”

Their new menu will include plant-based options like watermelon tuna, vegan ribs, and vegan chili squid.
