Ditching dairy can be one of the more difficult habits to break when starting a plant-based diet. Dairy is found and based in so many foods, but companies such as Silk, Chobani, and RISE have started to ditch the dairy and have debuted new non-dairy alternatives that include yogurts, oat milks, and more! Besides, dairy isn’t the best for your body. It’s linked to causing acne and can even impact your mood.

New Barn Organics is joining the ranks by changing their AlmondCreme ice cream recipe to become fully vegan! The previous recipe used eggs, which didn’t make them vegan-friendly. Now, the company has decided to ditch the eggs, and instead, use coconut cream as an alternative. Darleen Scherer told VegNews, “We’re happier with our new formula. They’re creamier and have an even better mouthfeel than the original.” This means more vegan ice creams on the shelves, and more flavors to fall in love with. New Barn Organics also does almond milk, non-dairy creamers, and butter.

And if you’re not super into non-dairy ice cream, don’t worry! The brand will also launch a new line of organic vegan butter, four different almond milk creamers, and five dips that will appear on shelves in late spring.
