Minneapolis’ favorite vegan butcher duo, The Herbivorous Butcher, will introduce a downtown Minneapolis-based food truck! Debuting in June 2018, the plant-based truck will begin to make appearances at different events and breweries. Wondering what’s on the menu so far? A fried chicken sandwich, rice and beans, barbeque sliders and a bacon ranch mac and cheese sandwich, all which sounds absolutely delicious.
It’ll also appear as a vendor at Coachella in April! According to their website, “We started The Herbivorous Butcher to bring you small-batch plant-based meats that are always fresh, flavorful, and protein-rich so you never feel like you’re sacrificing anything for healthy and ethical eating.”
This Spicy Fried ‘Chicken’ Sandwich will definitely hit the spot as soon as you sink your teeth into it. Crispy, crunchy, a bit spicy, and reminiscent of something you’d order in at a fast food joint. The patty in these spicy fried “chicken” sandwiches is made from wheat gluten that has been cooked in vegan broth, then dredged and fried in a spicy batter until crisp and golden.
