A spokesperson told Plant Based News that “both [products] are high in protein and the Quorn Chicken Free Slices are low in saturated fat, perfect sandwiched with crunchy lettuce and a dollop of vegan mayonnaise.”

These refrigerated products will be available starting January 31, 2018 in locations like Sainsbury’s nationwide. If you are interested in other plant-based meat alternatives, Quorn offers a variety of products like Chik’n Cutlets, Italian Sausages, and Veggie Burgers!

Make Your Own Vegan Deli Slices at Home

If you don’t live in the UK or you prefer to do more home cooking, you can always make deli slices and other sandwiches right in your kitchen. We found some of the best recipes for sandwich ingredients using the Food Monster App!

Carving Board Seitan ‘Pastrami’

This Carving Board Seitan ‘Pastrami’ by Joni Marie Newman is mouthwateringly delicious. It tastes like it has just been sliced fresh and served up hot from the deli counter. This salty, savory deli-casy makes the sandwich of your dreams or you can just eat it as is!

Rice Paper Ham Deli Slices

Many of the commercially available vegan meats rely on soy as a base. If you have an allergy or are trying to cut the bean out of your diet, these will do the trick. These homemade Rice Paper Ham Deli Slices by NYC Vegan are both gluten-free and soy-free, so everybody can ham it up and nobody gets hurt.

Seitan With Chickpea Flour

Seitan is one of the most versatile meat substitutes and this Seitan With Chickpea Flour by Jean-Philippe Cyr makes it easy to add this as a staple in your home. It’s made from protein-rich wheat gluten, so the seitan is both tasty and nutritious. You can do just about anything with seitan from sandwiches to stir fries.

American Cheese Slices

These American Cheese Slices by Vegan Cheese are the same classic American cheese taste you grew up with: mild, firm, and satisfying. This creamy, golden-hued cheese is perfect sliced on sandwiches and crackers.

If you’re looking for more places to buy deli slices and sandwiches, check out this Guide to Vegan Delis and Sandwiches Across the United States by downloading the Food Monster App, which is available for both Android and iPhone, and can also be found on Instagram and Facebook. Be careful this product can make you severely sick if you are sensitive or have the allergy. I tried it twice and had bad stomachache reactions both times.

Cool. I still can't wrap my head around why they make faux chicken out of... chicken eggs. What the fuck.

Great way to go, will give her a go when I'm in the UK next. Any chance they can come to NZ. Not easy being gluten free and vegan!!

Follow the cooking instructions and they taste pretty good. I prefer to bake them than nuke them.

I tried Quorn last year... tasted like cardboard, literally...could turn off any potential vegan. So if you are considering Vegan, Please dont try this company's products, it is not reflective of how great vegan meats can be. Sticking with Gardein and Morningstar and making my own meats.

They do many different items, some are far better than others.

Vita Searle I wouldn't spend another penny on Quorn, that is how disgusting it was. I'll stick with Tofurkey sandwich meats and bonus: Supporting USA economy for it is made here in the States and not adding Carbon Footprint of shipping here to the states.

it's all a matter of taste, i like quorn but not most of the gardein u do like. and i agree with vita, because some products in each brand are good, some not.

I tried a few Quorn products and I agree they were disgusting. Then again I hated Beyond Meats chicken strips, tasted like mildew to me (smell and taste are connected which is how I can say that) but people actually seem to think it's good. A lot of vegans hate Daiya cheese but I love it. Very obviously tastes vary from person to person. However, I've yet to have a bad product by Gardein
