Our Food Monster App republishes over 200 plant-based recipes a month so we have a pretty good gauge on what is trending in the world of vegan eats! These are just a few of the big trends we’ve noticed during the month of June and the recipes that made them stand out!

Meat replacers are a hit with vegans non-vegans alike right now so we weren’t surprised that these homemade, whole-food veggie steaks did well with our users! These Buffalo Cauliflower Steaks by Robin Runner are so savory and delicious! They’re low in calories and perfectly affordable so we weren’t surprised when they were a huge hit with our users! These Roasted Eggplant Fillets by Ida Hemmingsson-Holl were also very well-received! Super meaty and delicious!

2. Slow Cooker RecipesSlow-Cooker Sloppy Joes

Slow-cooker recipes are ideal because it cuts all the stirring, waiting by the oven, flipping, and timing out of the equation! These Slow-Cooker Sloppy Joes by Jennifer Harmon are meaty and so delicious! We knew they would be a hit because all you have to do is go about your day and look forward to the scrumptious sloppy joes you’ll enjoy later!

3. Vegan CakesStrawberry Coconut Sponge Cake 1

Summery, vegan cakes are totally on our radar! This Strawberry Coconut Sponge Cake by Hana Mendes is a beautiful creation that did super well with our users! It is light, sweet, and totally vegan! On top of this, we saw Maja Brekalo‘s Chocolate Brownie Blueberry Cake also do very well! It is has tender blueberries scattered throughout that make it an absolutely unforgettable dessert.

4. Instant Pot5 Whole Food Plant Based Paella Top Shot 1

We had two different instant pot recipes that really caught our users’ attention this month. This Hearty Red Lentil and Sweet Potato Instant Pot Soup by Tara Binder was a hit with our users! Just pair it with some day-old bread for the perfect easy meal! We also noticed our users enjoyed this Oil-Free Instant Pot Paella by Molly Patrick! It is a completely oil-free paella that is fresh, filling, smoky, and the perfect meal for summer days!

5. LentilsPolenta Cakes with Lentils and Veggies

Lentils are high in protein, low in fat, and easy on the wallet so they’re always on our radar! This month in particular, we noticed they stood out. These Quick Polenta Cakes With Lentils and Veggies by Christin McKamey really made a splash on our app in June! They’re simple, meaty, and packed with protein! Melina Kutelas brought lentils to new levels with her Creamy Lentil Bolognese and Potato Bake recipe! It is deceivingly easy and super hearty!

6. Cold DessertsMango Sorbet With Banana Pineapple Vegan 1200x774 1 1200x7741

As the weather heats up, we want to stay cool! What better way to cool down than with a cold dessert? Our users agreed and this Mango Sorbet With Banana and Pineapple was no exception! Emily von Euw combines healthy, seasonal ingredients for a delicious, frozen treat! Tori Cooper‘s Easy Vanilla Marshmallow Shakes were also really popular with our users! The best part? It’s only five ingredients!

7. High-Protein Plant Powered Muscle Mylk By Active Vegetarian

In the vegan world, high-protein recipes are always trending but, these recipes really brought it to our attention this month! Nikki and Zuzana had an awesome Plant-Powered Muscle ‘Milk’ recipe that our users honestly loved! We also really enjoyed this Easy Thai Red Tofu Curry by Dana Sandonato! It is high in flavor and high in protein! This Easy Chickpea and Vegetable Stroganoff by Jenny Mustard also caught our attention in June. It’s meaty and delicious. Best part? You can make it in 20 minutes!

8. CoconutVanilla Coconut Orange Creamsicles

Coconut is cooling and so delicious so it’s no wonder it pairs so well with summer fruits in sweet treats! These Vanilla Coconut Orange Creamsicles by Melissa Huggins are cold and so delicious! This Banoffee Pie in a Jar is flavored with creamed coconut and coconut milk! This recipe certainly made a splash with our users! It is a recipe from Rebecca Coleman’s book “Aquafabulous! 100+ Egg-Free Vegan Recipes Using Aquafaba.”

9. Crispy FoodsCauliflower BBQ Chips [Vegan]

Getting into the spirit of summer means crispy, crunchy, picnic-y foods! These recipes were a hit with our users! These Cauliflower BBQ Chips by Joni Condos are so unique and our users agreed! They’re healthier than standard potato chips and taste better too! Tina Dawson also had a crispy recipe that was a hit! These Spicy Cauliflower Fritters are finger food at its finest!

10. Easy Breakfast Breakfast Chocolate and Fruit "Zoats"

Nice weather means staying up later and staying up later calls for sleeping in later! These easy breakfast recipes made life more convenient for our users in the month of June. Sina had an awesome Breakfast Chocolate and Fruit “Zoats” (Zucchini Oatmeal!) recipe that is ready in less than 15 minutes! Utilize your latest zucchini finds with this delicious, easy breakfast! Another recipe that brought this trend to our attention was this Crustless Quinoa Quiche by Jessica Meyers Altman. Make a bunch at the beginning of the week for a grab-and-go easy breakfast!
