According to Vegconomist, WaBa Grill is launching plant-based steak in 200 new restaurants! In partnership with Nasoya Foods USA, they will be selling their plant-based steaks in 200 restaurants between California and Arizona.
Pulmuone owns Nasoya Foods USA. Pulmuone is relatively new to creating plant-based meats as they joined the alternative meat market this March with a fresh line of vegan meats. Their products are sold in Korea, China, Japan, and the US.
The plant-based steak is marinated with an Asian marinade and grilled with WaBa’s signature sauce making it delicious and flavorful, perfect for any kind of meat-lover.
Despite how realistic this steak is, it is still priced reasonably enough at around $8 per bowl. This makes it much more accessible to the general public.
Nasoya has sold plant-based products for decades and describes their transition into plant-based meats as “a natural evolution.” By expanding their plant-based lines to include plant-based meats as well.
“Today’s launch is significant for WaBa Grill as the continued evolution of our menu now includes Plantspired steak,” Mark Finnegan chief marketing and information officer at WaBa Grill said.
This plant-based steak is yet another excellent vegan-friendly meat alternative. With the help of Nasoya Foods, restaurants can start to offer more meat alternatives in an affordable way. This aligns with their companies goal, which is to make their products accessible to everyone.
They also pride themselves on making plant-based meats that are just as nutritious as they are tasty. As their plant-based steak contains 16 grams of protein per serving this being more than enough to compete with a real steak in terms of nutrition!
This vegan meat alternative offers a great option for those who enjoy steak as it allows you to still enjoy the occasional steak without having to harm a cow. Because there are so many reasons not to eat real steak.
