A new vegan restaurant that specializes in Mexican street food called, Tacotarian, will be opening August 22nd, 2018, in Las Vegas, Nevada! Tacotarian will not only be featuring delicious plant-based recipes, but will be cast in a unique and truly special setting.
The restaurant, which will be painted in shades of black, white, and aqua blue will consistently be projecting vintage Mexican movies onto its bare walls. The tiles, wooden tables, and other restaurant decor have all been intricately designed in Mexico, giving the place a Mexican market vibe, but with a vintage twist. In the center of Tacotarian, there will be a long communal table, adding warmth and a sense of community to the place, with an additional bar area and side tables to accommodate 40 guests.
The plant-based menu has been designed by Chef John Simmons, with inspiration taken from classic Mexican street food favorites. Tacotarian’s menu will include items like carne asada made with seitan; dorado with mashed potatoes, vegan cheddar cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, and crema; Barbacoa with mushrooms and jackfruit tossed in a smoky marinade; and Baja with smashed avocado, cilantro-lime dressing, fresh slaw, and guacamole. The menu will also feature desserts like churros, arroz con leche (rice pudding), a Mexican-style Popsicle called a paleta, and concha loca (a traditional pastry filled with chocolate ice cream). If you are looking for a night out with friends, this is the perfect place to go as they also offer wine by the glass, margaritas, and local craft beers.
Tacotarian is located at the intersection of Fort Apache Road and Patrick Lane in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be open from 11 am to 10 pm Monday-Sunday.
