Happy Pudding Day!
We all love the rich, sweet, creamy taste of pudding. We love it so much that multiple cultures have tried to take credit for the mouth-watering dish. If you ask a British person, they might claim they pioneered pudding during the middle ages. But that was only the meat version. If you wander over to Rome, they might tell you that they came up with the custard which is much more similar to the puddings we typically enjoy today. What we do known is that the first reference to chocolate pudding wasn’t until 1703, but since that’s quite a bit removed from the middle ages or Roman empire, the true origins of the dessert might always remain subject to debate.
But what isn’t subject to debate is how deliciously easy it is to make puddings plant-based and delicious. We’ve put together 15 of our favorite pudding recipes for you to enjoy.
Bon Appetit!

3. Banana Chocolate Chia Pudding

Emily von Euw‘s Banana Chocolate Chia Pudding uses Chia seeds to their maximum effect. Chia seeds maintain blood sugar levels as they slow our bodies conversion of carbohydrates into simple sugars. They are great for an athletic person as they can effectively replenish minerals lost in sweat. Chia seeds can also help in weight loss as they swell up to 10 times their size, which prevents absorption of some calories we eat. Chia puddings are great for breakfast as they will provide you with ample energy throughout the day.
