Loaded nachos are a game day favorite, but where did they come from? It is said that nachos came into existence in 1943 when hungry patrons arrived at the Victory Club, a restaurant that sat across the Rio Grande from Texas.  Anaya, the maître d’ on duty, who was nicknamed “Nacho,” was without a chef, so he took matters into his own hands.
