Plant-based startup, JUST, announced on Twitter that their beloved and highly coveted Vegan Egg will be available for customers based in the United States to buy from online shopping destination, Jet this August.

The company, Just, uses mung bean protein and according to Food Navigator,  its process for extracting the protein is pretty scientific but perfectly vegan. It’s a vegan alternative to scrambled eggs, which, if you’re like us, is a vital part of breakfasts and fun dishes everywhere. But without the harm and the cholesterol. Their product takes 77% less water to produce than the traditional egg and emits 40% fewer greenhouse gases.

Besides the fantastic environmental factors, Just Egg is also delicious. With it, you can make fried rice, tofu scrambles, breakfast platters and even cakes. Just like with a regular egg.

Their mission? “Our ingredient metrics and unique methodology can help make existing and future products more sustainable and we’ve begun reviewing additional factors like soil health, overall fossil fuel use, and fertilizer run-off, among others. Ultimately, we want our environmental impact work to encourage stronger sustainability analytics across the food industry. After all, it will take all of us to build a food system where everyone is eating well.”
