Eat Just’s JUST Egg has two new celebrity investors, Jake Gyllenhaal & Serena Williams. The pair star in a hilarious set of satire-rich ads narrated by Curb Your Enthusiasm’s JB Smoove. According to the ads, their secret to being so strong and sexy is that they eat JUST Egg’s plant-based eggs.

The plant-based food market is booming, and research suggests it could make up 7.7 percent of the global protein market by 2030. With a value of $29.4 billion in 2020, experts suggest that the plant-based foods market could have a value of over $162 billion by the end of the decade.

For the campaign called ‘Really Good Eggs,’ we see both celebrities starting their days with JUST eggs. Smoove pokes fun at the thought that these celebrities go above and beyond to stay sexy and in shape. And how do they do this? By eating these easy and healthier plant-based eggs.

In Gyllenhaal’s ad, he is made out to be a fitness fanatic, eating his plant-based protein-rich JUST Egg breakfast right after just finishing a workout that “only famous people know about.” So what does a famous person do after a workout that only famous people know about? Well, he refuels “with some eggs from plants,” right before his next workout session, galactic global knight training, because he knows that the “sexiest man of the year awards don’t win themselves.”

Williams is painted as a busy superstar who has a team of experts, personal chefs, nutritionists, and personal trainers to keep her in tip-top shape. Smoove asks viewers if they think that the GOAT (greatest of all time) would eat regular eggs? “Nope!” he exclaims. “Her eggs are made from plants — cause she has nutritionists, scientists, trainers and,” as the video pans to a mad scientist in her kitchen, “whatever this guy does — very interesting — curating her protein intake so she stays fueled for superhuman performance.”

“Eggs are one of the most common foods on the planet, spanning cultures, cuisines and yes, even the diets of superstars,” said Tom Rossmeissl, head of global marketing at Eat Just. “Jake Gyllenhaal and Serena Williams recognize the benefits plant-based eggs can have on their own health and on the planet, and we’re happy to have partnered with them and Mythology for this fun, informative new campaign.”

The average person does not have these absurd training sessions and around-the-clock experts, but they can get this superhuman protein from JUST Egg and plant-based lifestyles like Gyllenhaal and Williams. The advertisements are comedic and light, but the message is there; plant-based is better!
