In a move more suited to 2016, Dunkin’ just added avocado toast to its menu in its latest bid to plant-based millennials. The coffee chain is now serving the trendy toast for $2.99 plus tax at all locations.
Dunkin’ Avocado Toast features what the brand is calling a “creamy, mouthwatering avocado spread.” The spread is made from avocado, sea salt, black pepper, and lemon juice and topped with everything bagel seasoning on a toasted sourdough slice.
According to Jill Nelson, Vice President, Marketing & Culinary at Dunkin’, “Dunkin’s new Avocado Toast is the definition of quality delivered at the speed of Dunkin’. We’ve taken a popular brunch staple and made it accessible for anyone looking for something easy and delicious to eat on-the-go. With simple ingredients at an affordable price, Dunkin’s Avocado Toast is the latest feel good addition to our evolving menu.”

The news made the rounds on Twitter, with mixed reviews. Comedian Conan O’Brien shared, “Dunkin’ has added avocado toast to its menu. That’ll teach those snobs at IHOP.” Other Twitter users called it, “on point” and said “9/10, would recommend.”
