Domino’s recently announced all 600 of their Australia locations will feature vegan cheese for a limited time! After a Facebook survey requesting vegan cheese gained widespread response, Domino’s listened to consumer demand. The cheese product of choice for these pizzas is supplied by Follow Your Heart, so it resembles the taste and texture of real mozzarella dairy cheese.
Nick Knight, CEO of Domino’s Australia and New Zealand said, “At Domino’s we pride ourselves on our ‘people-powered pizza’ mantra and listen to what our customers want.The popularity of, and demand for, vegan products has increased considerably over the years, so it’s great we are now able to offer this high quality, non-GMO, plant-based and preservative free Vegan Cheese.”
Three vegan pizzas are available on the menu. The Vegan Avocado Veg features fire roasted peppers, mushrooms, red onions, capsicum, olives, and spring onion. Opt for the Vegan Spicy Trio if you prefer baby spinach, tomato, red onion and chili flake. Or, choose the classic Vegan Margherita. Additionally, you can take any item on the menu and add the vegan cheese for $2.95.
Domino’s isn’t the first large pizza chain to offer vegan cheese at select locations. In November 2018, Pizza Hut added vegan cheese to all menus across the UK. There’s also a wide array of pizza locations throughout the United States that provide a wide variety of plant-based offerings!

Chicago deep dish pizza: it’s like a pizza and a savory pie all in one. This Chicago Deep Dish Pizza With Cashew Mozzarella by Megan Sadd has a crust that is thick and hearty. The sauce is chunky and spicy, and the cashew mozzarella is melty and gooey. The sauce only takes about 15 minutes and you can roll out the dough while the sauce cooks. If you make the cheese ahead of time, this pizza comes together pretty quickly!
This Margherita Pizza With Fresh Basil Pesto and Mozzarella by Jennifer Harmon tastes like Italian summer in your mouth! The crunchy and chewy crust is topped with tomato sauce, thinly sliced tomatoes, homemade vegan mozzarella and fresh from the garden basil pesto.
