Six months ago, Mexican restaurant chain Del Taco partnered with Beyond Meat to bring their plant-based protein crumbles to locations across California. Since the partnership, Beyond meat has joined forces with other restaurants chains, and Taco providers everywhere, giving next generation vegan protein the exposure it so desperately needs.
Now Del Taco has announced they will expand their partnership with Beyond Meat, and bring the beyond beef crumbles to 594 stores nation-wide by the end of April 2019. Customers will be able to choose The Beyond Taco and Avocado Beyond Taco, as well as the option to use Beyond Meat as a substitute option for other items on the menu.
It looks like Del Taco sewed the seeds of its own vegification. By partnering with Beyond Meat, they helped light the plant-based fast food fire in the first place. People love trying new things, and the more we can help others get hooked on tasty, cruelty-free (and even a little healthier) alternatives, the better!
