Dairy-free ice cream was predicted to be a food trend to take over in 2020. There are already so many amazing options. Today, there are options from completely plant-based brands like So Delicious, Coconut Bliss, and NadaMoo to brands that traditionally use dairy like Ben & Jerry’s, Häagen-Dazs, Magnum, and more. However, one place that people didn’t really expect to see dairy-free ice cream from is the Dairy Queen herself, but they are delivering too.
A few days ago, someone spotted a menu option at a Las Vegas location called “Non-Dairy Dilly Bar” with the words “coming soon.”
A Dairy Queen location in Louisiana also posted on Facebook about the Non-Dairy Dilly Bars. They are serving it in their location and their posts confirms that the bars are indeed vegan!
The ice cream bar is made with coconut cream and is gluten-free. The flyer mentions that it is available at participating locations, so it may not be available at all stores yet, but the addition is certainly welcome by people with dairy allergies and plant-based eaters.
