Beyond Meat has launched its first-ever TV commercial, starring Octavia Spencer and with a cameo by NFL player, Todd Gurley.

In the “What If We All Go Beyond?” television commercial, Spencer urges viewers to imagine a world where animals are no longer killed for food and consider a better future for people, animals, and the planet. Spencer notes that this reality is already happening with Beyond Meat.

“I’m really proud to be a part of this movement and love that Beyond Meat is inviting us all to imagine a brighter future with the simple question: ‘What If We All Go Beyond?’” Spencer said. “I see the power of collective change happening all around us, and the future of our food is no different. My health is the reason that I’ve started eating more plant-based meat, and Beyond Meat’s products taste so good, it made the transition a welcomed change. I can’t wait to share the experience I’ve had with more people and invite them to try going beyond, too.”

“It’s not about being preachy or judgmental,” Beyond Meat’s chief marketing officer Stuart Kronauge says. “We’re asking a question to define what we stand for as we want this movement to include everyone, wherever they are on their journey.”

Since 2016, Beyond has grown revenue from about $16 million to $300 million last year. The company partnered with major fast food chain like Dunkin’, KFC, and, most recently, with convenience chain Wawa’s.
