My family has been plant based for almost a year now. (we were vegetarian before then from 2009 onward). We have seen great results from cutting out all the garbage and empty calories from our diet. No oils. No animal products. No processed or packaged foods. No HFCS, high sodium or unnatural sugars. I have dropped from 170 lbs to 119. I eat as much as I want as often as I want within the dietary perimeters and I don’t gain a pound! My kids don’t crash and burn the way most kids do. They are muscular, attentive and think clearly. We don’t have any of the health issues most people get. 4 kids- no colds, no flu, no infections or viruses! That is every parent’s dream! There is something to be said for veganism/plant based diets. I have medical issues stemming from severe scoliosis and since becoming plant based I have been able to come off of 4 pain medications and I have noticed I have more mobility/longer times feeling okay without laying down from excruciating pain. I see what a difference it’s made for our family, and I can’t help but to share the information. It isn’t for everyone, and it does take great discipline… but it does work if you are dedicated.

It COULD be for everyone… but there are some who will never change, I agree with you, Joe. Humans are supposed to be herbivores. We are killing ourselves and our planet with all the dairy/meat consumption we do.
