  • 3 1/2-ounces orange juice
  • 7-ounces plant-based milk
  • 3-ounces sunflower oil
  • 10 1/2-ounces sugar
  • 2-ounces walnut, coarse
  • Zest of an orange
  • Vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons soda

How to Prepare Vasilopita: Traditional Greek New Years Cake [Vegan]

  1. In a bowl, mix the oil with milk, zest, vanilla, and sugar.
  2. Then, drop soda into the orange juice and stir until it froth. Combine this mixture and add the flour gradually. At the end, incorporate the nuts.
  3. Pour the mixture in the oiled baking dish. Cook in a preheated oven at 356°F for 45-50 minutes.
