Forget captive “swimming with dolphins” encounters. This fearless bikini-clad woman went out wakeboarding among a pod of happy wild dolphins in the Sea of Cortez. At first, the creatures are visible only from a distance, but then they suddenly pop out inches away from the boat’s line, startling everyone. The dolphins seem clever enough not to make contact, but they come really close. It’s a good thing this woman is a professional, because who knows what would happen if she lost her balance and fell in the water. It’s fun to watch, but don’t try this at home!
The dolphins probably approached the boat and wakeboard because of the waves they made that helped push the playful animals along in the water. Dolphins love to have fun and surf with their friends just like humans do, and swimming in the wake of boats adds a novel dimension to their play.
