Yes, yes, yes! Enjoy Life Foods, a snack bar company, has just become the first food company in the U.S. to receive a Palm Oil Free certification from the International Palm Oil Free Certification Accreditation Programme (POFCAP) for their new products.

Enjoy Life Foods’ new Grain & Seed Bars are the only snack bars on the market that combines three types of ancient grain sorghum and are the very first to receive a palm oil free certification! 

The brand’s plant-based Protein Bites are set to launch in June. The protein bites will come in eight different flavors!

As the world’s most popular vegetable oil, palm oil is used in numerous consumer goods, such as snacks, beauty products, ice cream, detergent, and chocolate. This cheap oil comes at a major cost to our environment and has been linked to many environmental, animal, and human rights violations. Up to 300 football fields of forest are cleared every HOUR to make room for palm plantations. Because of this, the orangutan population has decreased by 80 percent in just the last 20 years as the result of habitat loss from forest clearing for palm plantations! About 50 percent of consumer goods contain palm oil so it is more important than ever for consumers and companies alike to take action.
