Vegan celebrities can be flaky, but some of them are pretty serious about their viewpoints. It seems like Tobey Maguire definitely falls into the latter category and is committed to his animal-free lifestyle.

While on set in Australia for the filming of Baz Luhrmann’s $150 Million epic, The Great Gatbsy, the filmmakers handed Maguire a new Mercedes for his personal use during his stay. Maguire apparently sent the car back, not because he’s a spoiled Hollywood star and didn’t like the car, but because he is a vegan and took issue with the leather upholstery!

The filmmakers obliged and had the dealer replace the upholstery with vinyl.
