Someone reported the sound of crying puppies from an abandoned house in St. Louis, Missouri, prompting a local rescue team to jump into action.  Rescuers from Stray Rescue of Saint Louis in Missouri entered the unstable home to find five puppies who had taken shelter from the freezing winter temperatures. Of the five puppies found in the rubble, one was trapped inside a pipe.

The cries of puppies were tracked down to an abandoned house that was in serious danger of falling apart. 

To escape the frigid temperatures of the Missouri winter, the homeless puppies had taken shelter in the only home they could. 

One of the poor puppies was found trapped in a pipe. She had most likely crawled in the narrow tube while looking for protection against the cold. 

It’s thanks to rescuers at Stray Rescue of St. Louis that these babies are safe. Never again will they have to struggle just to stay warm.

Rescuers believe that these pups were abandoned by a human. It’s heartbreaking to think that this is what forced them into such a desperate situation, but sadly, it’s a reality for many other homeless animals. Thankfully, these five puppies now have a chance at finding a forever home.
