New York Bully Crew is bringing you a story today about a beautiful little boy named Smokey, who is in desperate need of some love!

Smokey is thought to be about one year old. In his home state of Georgia, Smokey wandered up to a passerby, obviously seeking out help. He was in pain and in a very sorry condition, and since there is no animal control in the area, a kind person reached out to New York Bully Crew for their assistance.

New York Bully Crew arranged for Smokey to be transported to a local vet before he was brought to New York. A checkup revealed Smokey was covered in attack wounds, scabs, and scars, and his ears were severely infected. He also needed pre-heartworm treatment. This poor little boy has been through so much!

You can see the painful attack wounds all up the back of Smokey’s leg. He must have been in agony.

The back of his ear also showed evidence of whatever attack he had been through.

In this video, you can see the puncture marks in his jaw and even more of those wounds covering his skin.

Thankfully, Smokey is now on the road to recovery. He is in the very capable hands of New York Bully Crew, where he is receiving all the love, care, and attention he deserves.

Adopted dogs have so much love to give. More than 6.5 million animals enter shelters across America each year, and Pit Bulls, in particular, take the longest to be adopted, if anyone even looks at them at all. Adopting a dog rescues an animal from the streets or euthanasia, cuts down on the number of puppy breeding factories that are still in operation, and most importantly, brings a lot of love into your home.
