If you live in a big city or suburb, it can be easy to think that all of the natural world has been paved over and turned into malls and skyscrapers. Most wild landscapes have been turned into condo communities and the only “wilderness” to speak of in cities is limited to sidewalk trees … and ants. Finding a truly untouched, wild place has become increasingly difficult.

But this doesn’t mean that there aren’t any natural wonders left in the U.S. In fact, as this video shows, we still have the beauty of national parks to turn to when the nature-lover inside of us yearns for adventure.

Shot in Joshua Tree, over the course of four months, this video is part of a larger video project called “More Than Just Parks.” Taking us inside America’s National Parks, these videos are meant to remind us of our nation’s wild heritage and restore our appreciation for the wilderness that surrounds us all – even when it can be hard to find.

This video is sure to awaken the inner adventurer in us all. So, check it out and then get outside!
