When news first broke that Tracey and Jon Stewart were opening their own branch of Farm Sanctuary, we were over the moon, to say the least. The decision to start a sanctuary for farm animals was largely Tracey’s as she always dreamed of caring for animals, and it wasn’t long until Jon was on board too.

Now, after a year of planning and preparation, the Stewarts are finally ready to introduce their first official piggy residents, Anna and Maybelle. These two cuties were rescued after falling off a truck on the highway. Destined for slaughter, Anna and Maybelle would have never had a chance to live if not for this accident. While it was lucky that they escaped their initial fate, it was even more so that they ended up getting adopted by the Stewarts.

Seeing these pigs happy and healthy in their awesome new home just brings a huge smile to our faces. The Stewart’s farm is set to open in Spring of 2017, and we cannot wait to meet the other animal residents!   1. Does anyone know what happened to Lilly the white horse they rescued from savage people? I know she past away BUT HOW did she die? I maybe missed the news, so I would like to know…and I loved that they rescued her but I\’m so sad that she didn\’t have the time to enjoy rest of her life there…

He is doing a good job , caring for animals …that’s is all I care ..a lot of jealous people in this world …what if has money , good for him …Jon Stewart you are doing what a lot of people want to do ..if you can help animals …thank you !! I hope you are successful and rescue many animals in needs…❤️
