You know the reaction that little kids give you when you tell them you’re going to the toy store. It’s like a little explosion of excitement that their tiny bodies just can’t seem to handle. Well, when the dog in this video is told he is headed to the park, his reaction is pretty much the same.
He can hardly contain his anticipation for all the fun he is going to have once the car stops moving. It was a little difficult to make out exactly what this pup was trying to tell his parents, because of his overwhelming joy, but we’re guessing he’s rattling off all the things he plans to do. Chase 1,000 squirrels, play fetch for 20 hours, sniff every single square inch of the park … twice! Oh boy!
We don’t know about you, but we think this sounds like crazy fun … we wonder if he’d be down to take us along next time?
My 7 mo old Lab is already doing this when he sees we are going in the direction of the dog park. As we get closer and closer, he gets louder and louder, and more wiggly. Lots of the dogs that come into the parking area for the dog park do this or something close to it. The other day, a small car with a very big dog inside was coming down the driveway into the park. The car window was open and the dog jumped out and tumbled several feet as the car passed the entry gate. Luckily the dog was unhurt. The driver, who I assume was the owner, was terribly embarrassed and kept apologizing to everyone once she got inside the park. For this reason, I keep my pup tethered inside the car.
