Summer’s warm weather and time off from work offers ample opportunity for home improvement projects. But before patching up your roof, insulating for air conditioning or doing anything else that involves sealing up part of your home, be sure to check for wildlife.

Spring and summer months are prime breeding time for wildlife, and while you’re planning home repairs, they might be building homes of their own on your roof, in your walls or in your attic. Sealing off an area or introducing harmful chemicals near their nest could cause great suffering for animal families, as well as damage to your home when they try to escape.
