Exciting news! National burger chain Bareburger, based out of New York, has added the yummy, vegan Beyond Burger to ALL 12 of their New York City locations! If you don’t live in the Big Apple, don’t worry by the end of February, all 29 Bareburger locations will offer the Beyond Burger (the chain also has plans for an all-vegan Bareburger restaurant coming soon!).

In a commitment to offer guests more choices, Bareburger is serving the Beyond Burger alongside other plant-based entrées such as a black bean burger, a quinoa patty, and the Impossible Burger. This makes the Bareburger is the first restaurant to offer both the Beyond Burger and the Impossible Burger on their menu – it also marks the removal of their elk and wild boar patties. You won’t hear us complaining!

If you’ve never heard of Beyond Meat’s Beyond Burger before, this vegan burger has been widely lauded for it’s spot-on meaty and juicy flavor and texture profile  – AND it actually “bleeds” beet blood when you make it. Additionally, each Beyond Burger patty boasts an impressive 20 grams of plant-based pea protein, not to mention it contains no soy, gluten, or GMOs.

The juicy Beyond Burger is served on a brioche bun with vegan American cheese, sweet pickles, red onion, green leaf lettuce, and a special sauce. Want to make it all-vegan? Just ask for no special sauce and a multigrain bun instead! For a full list of NYC locations so you can go get your grub on, click here

More people than ever are reducing their meat consumption and opting for plant-based options instead. A recent report by global market research firm Mintel shows that an increasing number of people are open to trying meatless burgers, a trend that is being driven largely by Millennials; 64 percent have tried meatless burgers versus 28 percent of Baby Boomers. When dining out, around 40 percent of Americans also choose the plant-based option, so offering more plant-based options will likely be met with success.

With the Beyond Burger now also available at all locations of the family-friendly restaurant chain, TGI Friday’s, it’s clear the future of food is indeed plant-based. Not to mention, the company also teamed up with the largest food distributor in the U.S, Sysco, further helping the burger reach tens of thousands people, making healthier, plant-based burgers that are better for animals and the planet more accessible than ever. Oh, and the company also recently got an investment boost from none other than Leonardo DiCaprio!
