This adorable video features two unlikely friends playing together in the wild. While the sight of this fawn and bunny playing together might come as a surprise to many people, interspecies friendships are actually quite common!
For example, National Geographic has documented husky dogs befriending polar bars in the Arctic, as well as Hoppy the deer becoming the closest of friends with a house cat. Not to mention there’s also this adorable duo, who reportedly love to snuggle.
Wild animal friendships are usually forged when two very young animals need companionship and emotional support, often when the two are in captivity or don’t have their families with them.
While not every wild animal seeks out interspecies friendships, the ones that we know of are completely adorable and are so similar to the friendship we have with our friends – both human and animal.
