The African golden cat (Profelis aurata) is one of the most elusive species that walks the planet. Since it is a rarity to see this cat wandering its habitat in the rainforests of Western, Eastern, and Central Africa, little is known about its behavior.

But thanks to a new study conducted by scientists from the Wildlife Conservation Society and Panthera, we can now all witness this adorable wild feline in the video below.

Scientists were able to procure this rare footage in Uganda’s Kibale National Park using a baited camera trap sprayed with Calvin Klein’s cologne Obsession for Men.

Through this study, scientists also discovered that the African wild cat is not a nocturnal species like they originally thought, but rather that it is cathemeral, or active during both the day and night.
