Simon Cowell is believed to have lost about 20 pounds, thanks to a vegan diet. He made drastic lifestyle changes following a health scare caused by low blood pressure.
Cowell told reporters at ITV Palooza he cut out all animal products and switched to light beer. “Not only that [it is good for the environment] but it makes you feel better. It genuinely does,” said Cowell. The X-Factor judge said that his vegan diet has given him increased energy to keep up with his five-year old son. Saying he “doesn’t like to use the word diet,” Cowell sees it as a lifestyle change.
Cowell said he talked to experts and doctors during his diet transformation. He cut out meat, dairy, wheat and sugar from his diet, following a full vegan diet from now on. Of the change he said, “It was way easier than you may think. Like, I used to have yoghurt in the morning and I changed it to almond-milk yoghurts. I have almond milk in my tea.”
Cowell told The Sun, “I changed my diet and I’ve not looked back since. You feel better, you look better.”
