Over 35 million Americans live with diabetes, and yet price-gouging has made their life-saving daily drug unaffordable. However, The Affordable Insulin Now Act would cap the cost of insulin at $35 for consumers. This bill limits cost-sharing for insulin under private health insurance for a month’s supply of selected insulin products at $35 or 25% of a plan’s negotiated price and the Medicare prescription drug benefit, says Congress.Gov.

This bill is a crucial step in ensuring that everyone has access to the medical care they need, especially considering that nearly one in ten Americans live with diabetes and are dependent on insulin to survive.
