Lakeside Refrigerated Services, a New Jersey-based company, has recalled an estimated 120,872 pounds of ground beef products that were shipped to retailers all across the country.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced that during their routine testing, they found products produced between February 1st and April 9th could have a possible E. Coli presence.

The products that may be affected are beef patties, meatloaf mix, and other varieties with the establishment number “EST. 46841” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The beef was sold under multiple brand names like Naturally Better, Nature’s Reserve, and Thomas Farms for various retailers.

Look at the FSIS’s pictures of the labels on all the affected products, and make sure to throw out or return them if you have an affected product.

Although there are no confirmed reports of illness from this outbreak, this is not the first time that meat or animal products have been recalled. The best way to make sure that you aren’t affected by meat recalls, or meat E. coli outbreaks is to cut meat from your diet.
