Kelly Ripa just turned 49. But her biological age is 35! Ripa performed a Epigenetic Aging and Stress test that found that her biological age is 35. Her nutritionist points to a plant-based diet as part of the reason.

According to her nutritionist, Dr. Daryl Gioffre, “The Epigenetic test is basically a state-of-the-art technology that measures how your brain and nervous system are functioning, because ultimately that is what controls and coordinates your entire health. It measures how you eat, how you think, how you move your body, how you handle stress.”

According to Dr. Gioffre, Ripa’s impressive numbers are partly thanks to her plant-based diet. Ripa follows a plant-based, alkaline diet. And the results speak for themselves.

So what is Ripa eating? According to Dr. Gioffre, who told People Magazine, “She lives 80/20, so 80 percent of the food she puts into her body are alkaline to the body. Things like dark green leafy vegetables, lots of salads, lots of soups, lots of smoothies.”

Plant-based diets are known to help chronic inflammation, heart health, allergies, gut health and more! The Live with Kelly and Ryan host also takes anti-inflammatory supplements, and adds greens and minerals to her daily smoothies. After her workouts, Ripa enjoys a plant-based protein.
