Almost 2 billion animals are exported yearly in overcrowded ships and trucks for weeks in extreme temperatures, and many don’t even survive the journey. Please sign this petition to urge the Environment Minister in the UK to reintroduce this important bill!

2. Urge Amazon to Protect Ring Customers from Harassment

Amazon employees have used Amazon Ring footage to stalk women customers and even use racial slurs toward children. Amazon has stated that it would implement a security program to help protect against these offenses, but no timeline has been announced. Please sign this petition to urge Amazon to offer a clear timeline for when its security and privacy programs will be implemented!

3. Justice for Dog Who Was Thrown in a Pot of Boiling Cooking Oil in Mexico

A state police officer in Mexico was arrested after witnesses saw him threaten a local butcher with a knife, then run out into the street, pick up a little boy’s dog, and throw him into a pot of boiling cooking oil. Afterward, the boy watched as authorities removed the corpse from the pot. The man has been charged with animal cruelty and attempted murder (of course, he did commit murder), but authorities need to make sure he isn’t given any special treatment for being a police officer. Please sign this petition to urge authorities in Mexico to charge this sadistic man to the full extent of the law!

4. Tell the LAPD to Curb Its Use of Helicopters

Several celebrities have received backlash for their use of private jets, but LAPD helicopters have released more than twice the amount of emissions as the public figure who has the highest private jet emissions. On top of that, these helicopters are often used for standard patrolling instead of emergencies. Please sign this petition to urge the LAPD to curb its use of helicopters!

5. Tell Rich Countries to Pay Climate Reparations to Poor Countries

Even though rich countries are more responsible for Climate change and over-emitting greenhouse gases, poor countries often face the worst consequences. From severe droughts to flooding and other extreme weather events, poor countries are dealing with a lot. On top of that, they are also expected to implement green energy projects like the rest of the developed world. Please sign this petition to urge rich countries to pay climate reparations to help make this transition possible!

6. Demand Texas Repeal Regressive Abortion Bans Immediately

In Texas, more than a dozen women are part of a lawsuit against the state because their health was put at risk when they weren’t able to receive abortions. Even though medically necessary abortions are technically legal, many doctors are afraid of providing them. This is probably because the punishments for providing them are significant. Please sign this petition to urge legislators in Texas to repeal abortion bans immediately!

7. Help End the Yulin Dog Meat Festival

Less than 20% of Yulin residents would oppose a ban on the dog meat trade, and 70% say a ban wouldn’t affect their lives in a meaningful way. Despite this and the fact that over 80 animal protection groups in China are protesting the event, thousands of dogs (and cats) will be brutally slaughtered this month at the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. Many of these dogs will be abducted from households and tortured before being killed because vendors think the adrenaline makes the meat taste better. Please sign this petition to tell the Chinese government to help end this sadistic festival!

8. Tell the UK to Expunge the Records of Gay People Convicted of Homophobic Laws

Since 2012, only British men were allowed to apply to remove convictions of “being gay” on their records. Now women are allowed to apply too, but some individuals may not be aware of this legal change, the bureaucratic process involved can be very tedious, and many individuals have even had their applications rejected. Please sign this petition to urge the UK to expunge all these records immediately!

9. Pressure the Biden Administration to Protect Vaquitas from Going Extinct

Vaquitas are cousins with dolphins and are the smallest porpoises on the planet. They’re also incredibly rare, as it is estimated that there are less than ten still in existence! Recently, however, a new threat has emerged for the Vaquita as fisheries have been allowed to participate in the captive-bred trade of totoaba fish. This opens up the doors for wild-caught totoaba, which will be caught by the industry using gillnets, and which vaquita can become entangled in. Please sign this petition to pressure the Biden Administration to protect this rare and beautiful mammal! 

10. Demand Congress Enact Comprehensive Gun Control Legislation

In March, yet another school shooting occurred in the United States. 28-year-old Audrey Hale shot and killed three 9-year-olds and three adults at a Christian school in Nashville, Tennessee. Given that this mass shooting was the 129th mass shooting already in America this year, it’s more important than ever that we put pressure on Congress to enact comprehensive gun control laws.
