About Craig Cochran

Craig Cochran has has been a tour-de-force in the NYC vegan scene with over a decade of opening and running pioneering restaurants. In 2010, he co-founded Terri. The first all plant based fast food restaurant in NYC. Terri now has three locations. Craig is the co-founder of P.S. Kitchen, a new, gourmet restaurant which donates 100% of the profits to charity. Craig is also the co-founder of Blackbird Seitan.

This is a shift that my guest, Craig Cochran has seen first hand. Craig is the co-owner of Terri, a 100 percent plant-based fast casual restaurant with 3 locations in NYC. He also recently launched a new restaurant, P.S. Kitchen that caters to a more high-end palate and donates all their profits to charity.

In our conversation, Craig tells the story of how he worked his way from being employed at some of NYC’s first vegan restaurants to eventually starting his own. He addresses challenges that new businesses might face and talks about how he’s been able to expand his restaurants’ impact from serving healthier, more sustainable food to directly giving back to the community through employment opportunities and donations. 

Unlike other restaurateurs, Craig’s interest in creating accessible plant-based food extends far beyond the bottom line. Food is his form of activism and he is on a personal mission to make plant-based food affordable and accessible to everyone.
