The O2 area is the first American-style, multi-purpose arena in London and is the second-largest in the United Kingdom but the busiest music venue in the world. Now, the arena has announced they will remove all animal products during the event, with Impossible Foods as the official food brand of the event.

The event titled ‘Overheated‘ will take place over six days during Eilish’s Happier Than Ever world tour. The Grammy award-winning singer and activist will perform and hold discussions about Climate change with musicians, activists, designers, and other cultural figures, including climate campaigner Vanessa Nakate and YouTuber Jack Harries.

“The O2 will be implementing various changes within the arena to reduce single-use plastic, promote a plant-based menu, and better enable customers to make informed and responsible choices.”

“Within The O2 arena, together with the venue’s catering partner Levy UK + Ireland, the venue has committed to going 100% vegan on all available food items for the six Billie Eilish shows, with The O2 being the only venue on Eilish’s UK tour to make this commitment.”

The event will take place on six non-consecutive days on June 10, 11, 12, 16, 25, and 26. The first day will kick off with a panel event featuring introductions by Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, with another keynote address by singer Ellie Goulding. The pair’s mother and founder of Support+Feed, Maggie Baird, will also be a key speaker on multiple days.

According to the O2 website, topics discussed “will range from greening practices in the music industry to the benefits of a plant-based diet, and sustainable fashion.”

It’s amazing to see this major venue committed to going vegan during this event, and we hope that this will inspire other venues and show that it’s not only possible but it’s delicious and easy to do!
