Vesanto Melina has taught nutrition at Seattle’s Bastyr University and at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She was co-author of the joint Position Paper on Vegetarian Diets of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) and Dietitians of Canada. She is an internationally known speaker and has presented workshops on vegetarian nutrition to over 2200 dietitians throughout North America and received the Clintec award for leadership in dietetics. She is co-author of 10 books on vegetarian and vegan nutrition, that are now in 8 languages.
